Rothko Announces Leadership Transition & Vision for the Future

Rothko Brand Partners, a Cape Town-based content marketing agency, today announced a leadership transition with the appointment of Inam Qoma as the company's new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. A Legacy of Inspiration and Growth

Jane Notten, a visionary leader, built Rothko from the ground up with a mission to inspire and empower people through storytelling. Under her leadership, the agency has championed social responsibility and inclusivity such that Rothko is now 100% women-owned and 51% black-owned, and forged lasting partnerships with influential brands across various sectors, including education, sustainability, finance, and business.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have led Rothko for the past two decades,” said Jane. “I am immensely proud of the positive impact we have made on our clients, our team, and society as a whole. I am confident that Inam will continue to build on this legacy and lead Rothko to even greater heights.”

A Force for Change

Inam Qoma, a passionate storyteller and strategic leader, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She joined Rothko at the age of 23 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming co-owner at 26. Inam has been instrumental in transforming Rothko into a global storytelling powerhouse, attracting clients worldwide. She also continues to prioritise social responsibility through the agency’s long-term relationship with Christel House South Africa, and inclusivity as a BBBEE Level 2 organisation.

“I am honoured to be appointed CEO of Rothko Brand Partners,” said Inam. “I am deeply committed to our mission of empowering voices and using the power of storytelling to create a brighter future. I am excited to lead our talented team in amplifying the voices of individuals and organisations, particularly those from Africa, who are shaping a positive impact on the world.”

A Human-Centred Approach to the Future

Supporting Inam in her new role is Natasha Arendorf, who has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO). Natasha, a long-time Rothko employee with a proven track record in leadership and collaboration, will be responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic alignment to support the agency's continued growth.

“I am thrilled to embark on this new journey alongside Inam as COO,” said Natasha. “Our combined expertise and experience will allow us to create a truly human-centred approach to executing Rothko's vision, ensuring both our clients and our team members thrive in this exciting new chapter.”
